The Shire Hall stands on Agincourt Square in the centre of Monmouth, Wales. Built in 1724 in the Baroque style and faced in Bath Stone, it was long the seat of the assize courts and quarter sessions for Monmouthshire. In 1839–40 it hosted the high treason trial of Chartist leader John Frost and others after the Newport Rising. The building is attributed to Philip Fisher, whose only recorded building it is, and it is a Grade I listed building.
