Shōgun'yama Kofun is a zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole-shaped tumulus) located in Gyōda-shi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, dating to around 600 CE. This ancient burial mound exemplifies the characteristic form of late Kofun period architecture, with its distinctive keyhole configuration comprising a circular mound adjoined to a rectangular platform—a design that dominated Japanese funerary practice for several centuries before the introduction of Buddhism fundamentally altered burial customs.
