Shrewsbury Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Church of Our Lady Help of Christians and Saint Peter of Alcantara, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Shrewsbury, England. Designed in the Gothic Revival style by E. W. Pugin and begun in 1856, it is the seat of the Bishop of Shrewsbury and the mother church of a diocese covering Shropshire and Cheshire. Historic England lists it as Grade II* and it is the only cathedral in the county, since neither Shropshire nor Shrewsbury has a Church of England cathedral.
