The Cathedral of Sigüenza, dedicated to Santa María la Mayor, stands in Sigüenza, Castile-La Mancha, Spain, as the seat of the local bishop and a minor basilica and co-cathedral. Begun in 1124 after the city was reconquered from the Muslims, it is a Gothic building whose central nave dates to the 15th century. In the 16th century its Romanesque lateral apses were demolished to make way for an ambulatory. It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.
