Silves Cathedral is a former cathedral in the city of Silves, in Portugal's Algarve region. It stands on the site of a mosque built during Moorish rule, which was later largely restructured and converted into a Catholic cathedral after the Reconquista. Mostly Gothic in nature, with some Baroque characteristics, it is considered the main Gothic monument in the Algarve. It was classified as a national monument on 29 June 1922.
