Sint-Ritakerk is a brutalist church in Harelbeke, Belgium, completed in 1963. Designed collaboratively by architects Paul De Meyer, Léon Stynen, and André Paduart, the building exemplifies the austere, sculptural vocabulary of modernist ecclesiastical architecture. Its bold concrete forms and stark geometric composition reflect the architectural principles that characterized post-war European religious buildings. Recognized as a protected monument, Sint-Ritakerk stands as a significant example of how brutalist aesthetics were applied to sacred space during the mid-twentieth century.
