Skibo Castle stands west of Dornoch in Sutherland, Highland, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. Largely of the 19th and early 20th centuries, it was the home of industrialist Andrew Carnegie, though its origins go back much earlier. Designed by Alexander Ross, it is a category A listed château, now operated as The Carnegie Club, a members-only residential club with a private links golf course.
