Sommers Light is a lighthouse built in 1808 on a rocky skerry in the eastern Gulf of Finland, an arm of the Baltic Sea. Located in Kingiseppsky District, Russia, the islet rises a maximum of 16 metres above sea level and lies about 19 kilometres south of Virolahti, Finland, just outside the Gulf of Vyborg. Known variously as Soммерс in Russian, Someri in Finnish, and Sommarö in Swedish, the lighthouse marks a strategic point in the Baltic approaches.
