Spadina House, a historic mansion at 285 Spadina Road in Toronto, now operates as a museum preserving the residence as it evolved through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Originally reflecting the artistic tastes of its residents from the 1860s onward, the house exhibits elements spanning Italianate, Victorian, Edwardian, Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Colonial Revival styles. Following extensive renovations completed in 2010, the museum presents the interior and exterior in the aesthetic of the inter-war era, specifically the 1920s and 1930s. The surrounding gardens are maintained to reflect the landscape during the Austin family's stewardship of the property. Designated a national historic site and heritage property, Spadina House is operated by the City of Toronto's Economic Development & Culture division.
