Spring Valley Presbyterian Church, also known as the Zena Church, stands in the rural community of Zena approximately 10 miles northwest of Salem, Oregon. Built in 1859 with volunteer labor, the Queen Anne–style structure exemplifies mid-nineteenth-century American religious architecture. Its lumber was transported by boat on the Willamette River from Lincoln, while its bell arrived from England via Cape Horn—a testament to the congregation's commitment and the era's global trade networks. A small cemetery of roughly 100 headstones adjoins the church, where local families have continued burials for over 160 years. The building remains an active place of worship and hosts Sunday services and private weddings. Spring Valley Presbyterian Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
