St Andrew's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in the Sydney central business district, at 1400 George Street, and the seat of the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney. Designed primarily by Edmund Blacket on foundations laid by James Hume, it was built from 1837 to 1868 and consecrated in 1868, making it the oldest cathedral in Australia. It is one of the city's finest Gothic Revival buildings and is listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register.
