St James's Church, Piccadilly, located in the heart of London's West End, is an Anglican parish church designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren between 1676 and beyond. Executed in English Baroque style, the church combines red brick with Portland stone dressings. Its interior features galleries on three sides, supported by square pillars, while the nave is spanned by a barrel vault upheld by Corinthian columns. Two masterpieces by master carver Grinling Gibbons—a marble font and limewood reredos—distinguish the sanctuary. An external pulpit, added to the north wall in 1902 and designed by Temple Moore with carving by Laurence Arthur Turner, was damaged during World War II but subsequently restored along with the broader fabric of the building.
