St John's Cathedral, also called the Cathedral Church of St John the Divine, is a Gothic Revival Scottish Episcopal cathedral in Oban, Argyll and Bute, and one of the two cathedrals of the Diocese of Argyll and The Isles. Its first church was completed in 1864 to designs by David Thomson of Heath Wilson & David Thomson, Glasgow, after the death of the appointed architect Charles Wilson. Funds ran out before construction was finished, so each phase remains visible, with steel girders still supporting the incomplete design.
