The Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis, King of France, commonly called St. Louis Cathedral, is a Neoclassical Catholic cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the seat of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. It stands on Place John Paul II in the French Quarter, beside Jackson Square and between the Cabildo and the Presbytère. The first church on the site dates to 1718, but the present building was largely rebuilt and completed in the 1850s.
