St Mark's Church, Kennington, an Anglican parish church in the London Borough of Lambeth near Oval tube station, is a Georgian structure built under the Church Building Act of 1824. Designed by architect David R. Roper, possibly in collaboration with A.B. Clayton, the church opened in 1824 on the site of the former gallows corner at Kennington Common. As a Commissioners' church, it received funding from the Church Building Commission to offset its construction cost of £22,720, which was shared between local parishioners and Parliament through grants known as "The Million Fund." The building is Grade II* listed.
