St. Mary's Anglican Church stands in Hillsborough, New Brunswick, a late-nineteenth-century house of worship completed in 1889. Built during the height of Victorian architectural enthusiasm, the structure exemplifies both Queen Anne Revival and Shingle style aesthetics, combining the ornamental complexity and asymmetrical forms characteristic of Queen Anne design with the shingled surfaces typical of the Shingle style. Recognized as a local historic place, the church survives as a material record of Anglican religious life in Maritime Canada during the late 1800s.
