St. Mary's Cathedral, commonly called Chiclayo Cathedral, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chiclayo in Chiclayo, Peru, and is recognised as cultural heritage of Peru. Built in the neoclassical style, its cruciform plan is crowned by a large dome over the crossing, and its main façade has two bell towers and three portals, the central one the largest. Construction began in 1869 to designs commissioned from Gustave Eiffel, halted in 1871 for lack of funds, and resumed in 1928 before completion in 1939.
