St Michael's Church stands on Giantswood Lane in Hulme Walfield, Cheshire, as an active Anglican parish church within the diocese of Chester. Designed by the renowned Victorian architect George Gilbert Scott and completed in 1856, the building exemplifies the Gothic Revival style that dominated mid-nineteenth-century ecclesiastical architecture. The church's generous construction quality earned particular praise from the authors of the Buildings of England series, who remarked upon it as "an attractive building, and one for which money must have been spent generously." Today it remains a Grade II listed building and continues to serve its parish community.
