Located at the intersection of F and Taylor Streets in Virginia City, Nevada, St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a Carpenter Gothic structure completed in 1876 to replace its predecessor, which burned the previous year. The church serves St. Paul's Parish, established in 1861 and still active within the Episcopal Diocese of Nevada. A contributing property to the Virginia City Historic District—designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966—the building exemplifies the distinctive wooden Gothic Revival aesthetic characteristic of mid-nineteenth-century Nevada mining-town architecture.
