St. Peter's Church stands beneath the Deutschhaus in the northwest of Mainz's historical centre, Germany. Built from 1749 to designs by Johann Valentin Thoman, it is one of the city's most important rococo buildings, and it is listed as a Kulturdenkmal. It succeeds a collegiate church monastery of "St. Peter before the walls," which had existed since the 10th century, and today serves as a parish church for the parish of St. Peter / St. Emmeran.
