St Peter's Church in Threekingham, Lincolnshire, is dedicated to St Peter ad Vincula and represents a complex architectural palimpsest spanning nearly a millennium. Though a Saxon church once stood here, recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, the Normans initiated a comprehensive rebuilding campaign beginning in 1170. The current structure dates largely from the early 14th century, with its distinctive door and porch completed by 1310. The church preserves three 14th-century tombs, including one commemorating John, a former lord of Threekingham. A sundial mounted on the turret beside the porch, inscribed with the date 1688 and the name of its donor, Edmond Hutchinson, adds a later layer to the building's history. The spire underwent restoration in 1872. Designated a Grade I listed building in 1967, the church exemplifies the enduring transformation of English sacred architecture from Anglo-Saxon origins through medieval expansion.
