St Peter's Seminary, a brutalist masterpiece completed in 1966 near Cardross in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, was designed by the architectural firm Gillespie, Kidd & Coia. Recognized by Docomomo International as a building of world significance, it stands among only 42 post-war Scottish structures awarded Category A listed status—the nation's highest protection grade for buildings of special architectural or historic interest. The seminary functioned until its abandonment in 1987, after which it fell into ruin. In 2020, the site was transferred to the Kilmahew Education Trust Ltd, which has undertaken plans to conserve, restore, and reinstate the complex's educational mission.
