St. Stephen of the Abyssinians (Santo Stefano degli Abissini) is a Romanesque church in Vatican City and the national church of Ethiopia. It is an Ethiopian Catholic chapel that celebrates the liturgy according to the Alexandrian rite. It is one of the few structures in the Vatican to survive the destruction of Old St. Peter's Basilica around 1505, making it the oldest surviving church in Vatican City in architectural terms.
