St. Ulrich's and St. Afra's Abbey is a Gothic minor basilica in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany, built from 1467 and standing 30 metres high. It grew out of the Roman tomb of Saint Afra, martyred in 304, and its interior holds three Renaissance altars regarded as masterpieces of German sculpture. Its high bell tower, capped with an onion dome, served as a prototype for numerous Baroque towers in Bavaria.
