The State Office Building is an 11-story Art Deco tower block in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, designed by Arthur Peabody and built in three stages between 1931 and 1959, with the main section completed in 1939. Standing 177 feet (54 m) tall, it is the tallest office building downtown. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as the best representative of intact large-scale Art Deco architecture in Madison, and it is also significant for its connection to the Public Works Administration.
