Strawberry Hill House is a Gothic Revival villa in Twickenham, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, built by Horace Walpole from 1749 onward. Rebuilt in stages through 1776, it introduced towers, battlements and elaborate interiors, and it prefigured the nineteenth-century Gothic Revival. Parts of the exterior were designed by James Essex, and the interior included a fireplace by Robert Adam.
