Strečno Castle is a reconstructed medieval castle ruin of irregular plan in northern Slovakia, about 12 km east of Žilina. It stands on a 103-metre calcite cliff above the E50 road and the village of Strečno, and together with the Old Castle (Starhrad) it forms a notable landscape landmark of the Upper Váh region. Following reconstruction, it houses expositions of the Považské múzeum in Žilina. The first recorded mention of the stone castle dates from 1316, and it is protected as part of Slovakia's national cultural heritage.
