Střekov Castle, also known as Burg Schreckenstein, is a ruined Gothic castle in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic, perched on a steep clinkstone cliff about 100 metres above the Elbe. Built in the 14th century to protect the waterway and collect duties on transported goods, it is a cultural monument and a symbol of North Bohemia, with its bergfried, palas and castle walls largely surviving or rebuilt. Goethe, Richard Wagner and Karel Hynek Mácha were among the artists it inspired.
