The Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque stands at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is among the city's oldest mosques. Designed by British architect and soldier Arthur Benison Hubback and completed in 1909, it was the principal mosque of Kuala Lumpur until the national mosque, Masjid Negara, was built in 1965. Built of brick in an Islamic architectural style, it is a national historic building of Malaysia.
