The Summer Archbishop's Palace stands in Bratislava, Slovakia, and was designed in the Baroque style by Franz Anton Hillebrandt, with construction beginning in 1761. It originated in the 17th century as a Renaissance summer seat for the archbishops of Esztergom, who were based in Pressburg (now Bratislava) after Esztergom fell to the Ottoman Empire in 1543. The baroque sculptor Georg Rafael Donner once kept a studio in its garden, and the palace now houses the government of Slovakia.
