Suzzallo Library is the central library of the University of Washington in Seattle, designed by Carl Frelinghuysen Gould in the Collegiate Gothic style. Completed in 1926, the building is among the most recognizable structures on campus and was named for Henry Suzzallo, the university's president who stepped down that same year; it was formally renamed in his honor following his death in 1933. The library's Gothic Revival and Tudor architectural elements have made it an iconic presence at the institution.
