The Teatro Argentino de La Plata is Argentina's second most significant opera house, surpassed only by the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Located in the provincial capital of La Plata, the brutalist structure occupies a prominent position within the city's Monumental Axis of public buildings, situated on the central block bounded by streets 9 and 10 and avenues 51 and 53.
