Located at 1520 20th Street NW in Washington's Dupont Circle Historic District, the Thomas T. Gaff House serves as the official residence of the Colombian ambassador to the United States. Designed in the châteauesque style by architects Jules Henri de Sibour and Bruce Price, the mansion draws architectural inspiration from the Château Balleroy in Normandy, France. The house features a concealed ballroom and interiors that blend 18th- and 19th-century design elements. Positioned across from the Dupont Circle metro station and near Embassy Row, the residence has hosted a succession of notable occupants, including a wealthy Ohio industrialist, a United States senator, a cabinet member, a Greek ambassador, and a former Colombian president.
