Tinnoset station, located in Notodden Municipality, Norway, is a disused railway station on the Tinnoset Line that once served a critical role in regional transport logistics. Designed by architect Thorvald Astrup and completed in 1908, the station building exemplifies nationally romantic architecture, constructed of logs in a style that reflected early twentieth-century Norwegian design sensibilities. Though finished in 1908, the station did not officially open until August 9, 1909. At its docks, wagons were transferred from trains to the Tinnsjø railway ferry, facilitating the movement of goods across the region. The station remained staffed until 1988 and ultimately closed on January 1, 1991, when all passenger traffic ended on the Tinnoset Line; freight service followed the summer after.
