The Tour de Pirelonge is a Gallo-Roman stone tower rising 24 meters above the commune of Saint-Romain-de-Benet in Charente-Maritime, France. Built during the Roman Empire, likely along the ancient road between Saintes and Bordeaux, this funerary pile stands as a solid column with a square base and conical cap—a cenotaph of austere Roman design. The structure has survived the centuries in relatively good condition and was recognized as a classified historical monument from the initial designation list in 1840.
