The Tower of Kamyenyets, also called the White Tower, stands on a gentle rise above the Liasnaja river in the town of Kamyenyets, Belarus, and is the town's main landmark. Erected between 1271 and 1289 by the architect Oleksa as a frontier stronghold on the northern border of the Principality of Volhynia, it is the only such tower surviving in Belarus. Built of brick, it has always been brick-red rather than white, and since 1960 it has housed a branch of the Brest regional museum.
