The Trade Fair Palace in Prague-Holešovice is a functionalist masterpiece designed by Oldřich Tyl and Josef Fuchs and completed in 1925. Originally built as a hall for trade fairs, it earned distinction as Prague's first functionalist building and the largest of its kind at the time of construction. The structure closed following a devastating six-day fire in 1974, after which it was transferred to the National Gallery Prague. Following extensive restoration, it reopened in 1995 and now serves as the National Gallery's largest exhibition venue. Designated a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, the building represents a landmark moment in the country's architectural modernism.
