The Transfiguration Cathedral is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral in Khabarovsk, Russia, on a steep bluff overlooking the Amur River. Built of brick in the Russian Revival style, it was constructed over 2001 to 2004 to a design reminiscent of Konstantin Thon's works. Four gilded Ukrainian-style domes crown it, the central one the largest. Patriarch Alexis II chose the hilltop site during a helicopter flight over the city.
