Trapani Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Lawrence the Martyr, stands in Trapani, Sicily, as the seat of the Diocese of Trapani. Founded as a medieval community church, it was elevated to cathedral status in 1844. Its Baroque character largely dates from an eighteenth-century transformation, including the façade and interior, designed by the architect Giovanni Biagio Amico.
