Tsaritsyno is a palace, park and museum reserve in the Tsaritsyno District of southern Moscow, Russia. Begun in 1775 as a summer residence for Empress Catherine II, its Gothic Revival palace was designed by Vasili Bazhenov. Construction remained incomplete, and for much of its history the estate was a half-abandoned park with picturesque ruins. In the 2000s the palace was restored according to the original plans, and it is now a federal cultural heritage site and museum complex.
