Týnec nad Sázavou Castle, located in the Benešov District of the Czech Republic, is a medieval fortress founded around 1300 that represents a synthesis of Romanesque and Gothic architectural traditions. As a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, the castle embodies the defensive and aesthetic priorities of early fourteenth-century Central European architecture, combining the earlier Romanesque elements with the emerging Gothic style that would come to dominate the region's fortifications during this transitional period.
