Designed by Hiroshi Hara and completed in 1993, the Umeda Sky Building is a distinctive mixed-use skyscraper in Osaka's Kita-ku ward, located on the outskirts of the Umeda business district. The structure consists of two 40-story towers that rise 170 meters, reaching 190 meters with their spires, and are uniquely interconnected at their two uppermost levels by glass bridges equipped with escalators and elevators that span an open atrium space. Built by Takenaka Corporation, it ranks among the prefecture's tallest buildings and represents a notable example of late-twentieth-century Japanese architectural design.
