Kansas City Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, is a Beaux-Arts railway station designed by Jarvis Hunt and opened in 1914, replacing a small Union Depot built in 1878. The station closed in 1985, and after a $250 million public–private restoration it reopened by 1999 as a complex of museums and attractions. Amtrak service returned in 2002.
