The U.S. Post Office on Main Street (NY 149) in the center of Granville, New York, is a brick Colonial Revival building erected in the mid-1930s as a Depression-era relief project. Designed by Treasury Department Supervising Architect Louis Simon, it is distinguished in New York by a raised roofline parapet, found on only two other post offices in the state, and by an asymmetrical front facade unusual for a post office of its size and period. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, it is the only building in the village so recognized.
