The United States Post Office stands on the northeast corner of First and Main Streets in Mineola, the seat of Nassau County on Long Island, New York. Built in 1936 as part of a Depression-era federal public works program, it is a brick Colonial Revival building with an unusual rough hexagonal plan that lets its main entrance face southwest toward the corner. It was one of the last works of the firm Peabody, Wilson & Brown, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
