Uxbridge station is a London Underground terminus in the London Borough of Hillingdon, serving as the western endpoint for both the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. Designed by Charles Holden in the Art Deco style, the station combines modernist principles with streamlined decorative elements characteristic of early twentieth-century transport architecture. Located 15.5 miles west of Charing Cross in fare zone 6, the surface-level building is Grade II listed, reflecting its historical significance as part of London's expanding suburban rail network. The Piccadilly line assumed terminus duties here in 1933, succeeding the former District line branch that had previously served Uxbridge from Ealing Common.
