Verrès Castle is a fortified 14th-century Gothic castle in Verrès, in the lower Aosta Valley of north-western Italy. Built as a military fortress by Yblet de Challant, it was one of the first castles constructed as a single structure rather than a series of buildings enclosed by a circuit wall. Standing on a rocky promontory across the Dora Baltea from Issogne Castle, it dominates the town and the access to the Val d'Ayas, and its austere exterior forms a cube about thirty metres on each side.
