Veveří Castle stands in Brno-Bystrc, about 12 kilometres northwest of Brno's city centre on the Svratka River in the Czech Republic. Built from 1300, it was originally a ducal and royal castle that combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It is now a museum building and is protected as a national cultural monument.
