The Villa Farnese, also called Villa Caprarola, is a Renaissance and Mannerist mansion in the town of Caprarola, about 50 kilometres north-west of Rome in the province of Viterbo. Designed by Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola for the House of Farnese, it has a pentagonal plan in reddish gold stone and rises directly above the town. It is now a property of the Italian Republic, run by the Polo Museale del Lazio.
