Demolished or destroyed.
The Villa Ludovisi was a Baroque suburban villa in Rome, begun in 1622 on the former Gardens of Sallust near the Porta Salaria. Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi had its main building designed by Domenichino, completed within thirty months partly to house his collection of Roman antiquities. The villa was demolished in 1885, after its owner, the Prince of Piombino, sold the property amid financial troubles.
